Take care and we hope to see you again next year, xxx Karen, Dave, & Rambo and Deb and Pete.   11th – 25th Sep. 2021

Lovely cottage, the best welcome pack we have ever had!  Thank you to Paul and Di.  Great location for coast and mountains.  Particularly like Aberaeron and coastal path and Teifi Pools.  Too many crowds at New Quay, but it is obviously a pretty village.  Thank you for the use of maps and walking books – invaluable!  Mary and Ian, Rosina and Vinnie + dog Tara.  21st – 28th Aug 2021

Our first visit and a big thank you to Paul and Di for making it such a memorable one.  A wonderful cottage with every detail carefully thought of. We loved the cottage – it was equipped with everything we needed. We will come back! Xxx Tracy, Robin, Sarah and Mike + Tolly, Max, Sid & Ali          20th – 24th Feb 2020

We’ve had a wonderful stay. The cottage is perfectly designed for humans and dogs alike. The dogs loved the space for zoomies. Storm Dennis and a broken ankle still healing curtailed our walking plans somewhat. Nevertheless we’ve enjoyed some mini adventures, particularly the spectacular stormy coast. Thank you Paul for making us all welcome, especially the anxious collie who has been able to relax here. Dave and Heather + Rex & Chess 15th – 19th Feb 2020

We have had a lovely Christmas stay at this very comfortable clean cottage. Lovely scenery from windows and some good beaches nearby. Hope to return sometime. Diolch yn fawr iawn. Carol and Jeff with Raggs, Bennie & Rosie. 21St – 28th December 2019.

Thank you so much Paul for all your time and trouble, checking the neighbours weren’t having bonfires and guiding us here through flooded lanes over the phone. We have all had a wonderful break and feel like we have been completely spoiled. Hope to come back at some point. I could happily live here just staring at the view all day. When most places say they are dog friendly they just mean they allow dogs, whereas here you do actually mean friendly. So much thought has obviously gone into it, so thank you very much.          Emma, Mick, Loki and Fen. – 2nd – 9th Nov 2019

Milly loved the huge garden and watching the birds! It’s been so relaxing – lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. All the best Ian.       Mary, Ian, Miranda + Milly. 28Th – 31st Oct.

Stayed in loads of cottages over the years but to find one that takes dogs and is so friendly and accommodating is hard. The welcome packs both animal and human were much appreciated. Our dogs have been in heaven running around the paddock and how lovely to have a doggy welcome pack and first aid kit too. Thank you for a lovely week, we’re going home a very happy family full of new, treasured memories. Paul, you’ve been so welcoming and accommodating – allowing our sky to have the throws on the floor and the checking that he was okay. Our dogs have loved their fusses from you as well. Your bird table is mesmerising, especially when recently filled! We’re already working on coming back next year. Helen. Arth, Lucy and Simon + Sky & Louie the black Labs. 24Th – 31st Aug 2019

Sometimes we just need a little time out and a break from the hustle and bustle and there is no better place to relax and be deafened by silence, apart from the birds. Thank you for a lovely 3rd visit to this beautiful place. Sean and Lynne plus Bently & Layla (dogs) 17th – 24th Aug 2019

I can only echo the comments that have already been written before about this wonderful haven of tranquillity. We came away to spend time together and with our canine family, and that’s just what we did. You should be extremely pleased with what you have achieved. Dave and Allison + dogs Oliver, Archie & Edward. 8Th – 15th Sep. 2018

First visit, whole set up was perfect for doggy holiday. Not many places take 4 dogs, including 2 ten month olds. Dogs loved it, so did I, garden was great for my youngsters to run around safe. Found lovely walks all around the area, Ynyslas beach the best. Paul was really accommodating, nothing too much trouble. Welcome pack was a nice touch, cottage has everything and really clean . Yet another wonderful stay at this lovely cottage. The perfect place to unwind, sit back take in the fabulous views and watch all the birds on the feeder. The welcome pack as usual was second to none for both us and the dogs & the welcome and hospitality from Paul & Diane first class as always. We even had the added free extra of the snow, it looked like a Christmas card. The dogs loved it, especially Poppy as she has never been in snow and even though we were snowed in for 3 days it didn’t put a dampener on things as we had plenty of food and of course drink! A lovely fire, stunning views and wonderful hosts who could not do enough for you. Thank you Paul & Diane and we will be back for another visit. Joanne, Martin Ollie & Poppy.  December 9th – 15th 2017:

Yet again a fantastic welcome hamper to start off our week. Paul and Di went above and beyond the call of duty on this visit and we will be eternally grateful for their help. Even with the ups and downs we had we preferred to stay here in this fabulous place rather than go home. Even staying a day longer than planned. Never got the chance to go out much on this visit, but was blessed with some lovely sunny days and just enjoyed the peace and the view. The dogs, as always, had the time of their life just running around and enjoying life. Once again thank you so much for everything. We will be back, if you will have us! Love to Paul Di and family. Definitely the best cottage we have stayed in. Very comfortable and well equipped, with lots of extra touches. Wonderful welcome pack and nothing too much trouble. Very dog friendly with doggy welcome pack and large garden. Spectacular views, with busy bird table and kites overhead. Lots of maps and information leaflets. We recommend: Newquay, Cae Bach, Aberporth, Tresaith and Cors Caron Nature Reserve (near Tregaron). Thanks very much for your hospitality. Bev, Graham and Chris + Poppy & Gina 23 – 31 Dec.2016 P. S. Tasteful decorations for Xmas too!!

Our 2nd visit in nine weeks – we just couldn’t keep away! We had another fantastic stay in this beautiful cottage, in an amazing location, We can only reiterate our comments from early October – this is definitely a little piece of heaven. Our 2 dogs had the time of their lives again -Monty doing his mad ‘doodle dash’ around the field, with Molly trying to catch him. Many thanks again to Paul and Di. Robert and Lindsey + Molly & Monty. December 2016

Very comfortable thank you. Cold remedy gratefully received!! Paddy enjoyed the freedom. You should patent the bird table. For fish lovers, highly recommend Pysgoty in Aberystwyth, must book, very small. John, Lynda, Elizabeth and Paddy the dog. 5th – 12th Nov. 2016

Paul, Di and family – thank you so much for letting us share your little slice of heaven. We have had a wonderful, restful week. The cottage is just amazing and the attention to detail is outstanding. The welcome pack was truly wonderful and such a generous gesture. The dogs enjoyed theirs too! We didn’t venture too far as all our dogs are quite senior and tire easily, but we had all we needed here and more. Beautiful views, bird watching – the nuthatch is my favourite and visits from the cows – I’m sure they thought our Newfoundland was a calf! Poppit Sands, Cae Bach and Llanon beaches were all amazing. Julie, Ian and Millie + Suzie Daisy & Ruby – 22-29 Oct. 2016

This is the best cottage I have ever been to, everything you could possibly ever need, and a lovely Welsh Welcome from Paul and Di. The cottage is wonderful, both inside and out and the field was outstanding for my dogs to play in, lovely views, peaceful and relaxing, but close to coastal areas. The week went very quickly. A lovely warm welcome awaits you at this cottage with a very generous welcome pack. Will definitely return if I can, my dogs will probably book for me. Many thanks again for all your lovely hospitality. Denice, Riley, Byrne and Gypsy. xxx 15th – 22nd Oct. 2016

It’s hard to put into words how fantastic this cottage and the surrounding area is. The cottage has everything you need and more too, the comfort is superb, the attention to detail and thought that has been put in are second to none. The beautiful welcome pack with local produce and the doggy treat pack were wonderful. We can highly recommend the local butcher and baker in Lampeter too. The cottage is so warm and cosy with amazing views, we are very reluctant to leave. Our 2 dogs have also had a brilliant time, making full use of their very own lawn to race around in. The peace and quiet and the beauty of the area have made this an exceptional holiday too. The great weather was an added bonus! A very sincere thank you you to Paul and Di, we very much hope to return. Robert and Lindsey 8th-15th Oct. 2016

Thank you Paul and to your family for providing us all with your beautiful cottage, 5*. We have found it so clean, comfortable and very high spec. The balcony and grounds have been perfect for our dogs. It’s such a beautiful setting here, but close enough to visit other areas. We have had a wonderful holiday and will be recommending you to all our doggie friends. It’s been the perfect break. Thanks also for your local information and routes too Paul. Also a big thank you for our Basket Welcome Gift and the dogs too. A lovely added extra! Karen, Dave and Jean + Czar, Minc, Rambo and Mate the Parrot 17Th – 24th Sep. 2016

Third stay in your lovely cottage and my “family” has grown from 3 to 4. Plenty of room for them to stretch their legs and the don’t want to go home. Very lucky with the weather and one scorcher day (first time sunbathed in Wales in September). Love Cei Bach, Ynyslas and Llannon beaches, all dog friendly and stunning. Thanks for your hospitality. xxxxxx Ruth and Anne + Poppy, Daisy, Picnic & Flo. 10th – 17th Sep. 2016

Thanks for a very nice stay at your lovely cottage. The welcome basket was most welcome (and the dog biscuits). The views are the best we have seen in 10 years of holiday homes. Specially interesting was the “Bird Table” and all the different types, specially the nuthatch. Enjoyed our chats. Barry, Rita, Mike and Jan & “Pen” 3rd – 10th Sep. 2016

First visit to this wonderful cottage, set in beautiful quiet surroundings. A very warm welcome and a gorgeous, well thought hamper for both us and our dogs, was well appreciated. The cottage was already well stocked with items you could possibly need, and information in the welcome packs and from Paul was absolutely brilliant!! The beds were wonderfully comfortable and our stay here has been perfect to say the least. Both Coco and Kinder have loved the freedom of the large garden and settled in very well. Without hesitation, we would recommend a stay at Rhydafallen and hope to see you soon. Thank you to Paul and Di for a wonderful peaceful and relaxing holiday! Kevin, Debbie, Jessica and Coco & Kinder 13th – 27th August 2016

Another wonderful two weeks in your lovely cottage. Thank you so much Paul for making everything perfect (except the weather, but even your toolbox can’t fix that!) Even without too much sun we have had a really good holiday, We have walked many stretches of the coast path from Llanrhystud to Llangranog and would recommend all of them. The new bird table is spectacular and has attracted robins, blue tits, great tits, nuthatches and a jay! Simon has orders to make me one now! Thank you also for the brilliant welcome packs, The bacon is delicious! We will definitely be back. Byddwn yn ôl gallwch fod yn sicr o hynny!   Simon and Debbie & Chester 30th July – 13th August 2016

The cottage was amazing inside and out. There was nothing you could want that was not provided. The welcome pack was a very nice touch and much appreciated. The dogs loved the big garden and the cows!! 5* stay. Thanks. Louise, Shaun, James and Annabel & Dogs Ruby and Willow – 23rd – 30th July 2016

The cottage is wonderful, with a very warm welcome from Paul. We really enjoyed our luxury welcome pack – thank you. We had wonderful walks at Nant y Arian Forest visitor centre and Cwm Rheidol water falls. Our favourite beach for the dogs was Ynyslas, as you can walk for miles on a quiet sandy beach at low tide. The dogs enjoyed the freedom of the large garden, perfect! Thanks Paul & family. Michelle, Ellie, Trudy, Stan & Dapper 16th – 22nd July 2016

Paul we loved staying in your lovely cottage, it’s a proper home from home with everything you could want. The dogs absolutely loved the freedom of running round the garden and it was great knowing Bess, our blind terrier, would be safe, she had a whale of a time! Would recommend The Cellar at Aberaeron for food and Aberaeron, New Quay and Poppit Sands for days out. Loved Ynyslas beach too, but take a picnic as only an ice cream van there. Ask Paul about the chip shop and beach at Llanon if you don’t want to go too far – we sat and ate chips on the beach and only saw one other person. Thanks Paul. Anne-Marie, Keiron, Rosie, Bess and Buster 9th -16th July 2016

This was our third visit and we have had another enjoyable week, we have three large dogs so the big garden is amazing for us and the cottage is lovely. We had lots of long walks along Ynyslas beach and visited Bwlch Nant yr Arian forest visitor centre, the views are amazing there. Thanks Paul, we will see you next year. Gemma, Greg, Kahula, Sam and Hooch 2nd – 9th July 2016

Our 3rd visit and it wont be our last. This is like home from home without the traffic. Having 4 dogs and mobility problems we are not able to go off out and about much, but we find we have all we need here to spend a peaceful week away from the hustle and bustle of town life. Never tire of the views. The dogs have had a great time running around safely in the garden. As always an amazing welcome from Paul with a welcome pack second to none! We will be back, but hope next time we get better weather as it’s rained every day, but that’s not spoilt our visit. One highlight was watching Wales win the footy! Many thanks to Paul to you and your family. xx Paul and Elaine + Taz, Pegs, Ozzy and Smudge 25th June – 2nd July 2016

Lovely cottage and beautiful surroundings. Fantastic welcome pack. Dogs loved theirs too. Best cottage so far. Fully equipped with everything we need. Love this part of the world. Paul very friendly and welcoming. Dogs loved the huge field to run around in and occasionally cows to bark at (over the fence). Don’t see them at home. The only thing we would have found useful was an outside tap to hose doggies down. They tend to get muddy, but 1st rate accommodation and beautiful view. Thanks Paul. Margaret and Mike + Molly, Rosy and Basil. 11th – 17th June 2016

Our second visit in eight weeks and it was a perfect week as the sun was shining all week long. Lots of time to take in the fantastic views and use the super facilities available. First visit to this part of Wales – hopefully not the last! Really spectacular scenery and wonderful views from the cottage. A wonderful luxury hideaway, such comfort! So much thought has gone into anticipating a guest’s needs. Thank you Paul and Di! Thanks too for the welcome pack. Ruby, the pet black Labrador, carefully munched her way through the doggy pack. Despite the weather -treacherous Spring – we were out and about every day. The goldmines at Dolaucothi are a must – unique to Britain. The house at Llanerchaeron, so interesting, and of course beaches at Mwnt, Penbryn and most of all Llangranog, part of the great coastline – well worth exploring. Thank you Paul and Di. Always new places to discover, but I can honestly say that Llaethdy Rachel is up up there with anywhere we have stayed! When the sun shines (even if it rains – it is Wales) the view is beautiful. Thank you Paul for your friendliness and information. The welcome pack is yummy! “Doilch yn fawr iawn”” – Dave, Rose, Shaun and Leela, August 2015

Beautifully situated. Amazing views and peace and quiet. Welcome pack very much appreciated by us and the dogs. What a lovely cottage in such an amazing place! The views are tremendous and the kites were a super bonus and a great surprise to see. Welcome packs were much appreciated. The cottage is superb–everything you could possibly need and beautifully done. The dogs loved the garden, which is brilliant as it’s so secure. We loved New Quay, Aberaeron and Cardigan. Poppit sands is a beautiful beach! Many thanks to Paul for being such a welcoming host. We hope to be back soon!! Thank you. x” – Howard,Jane, Sam and Will with Jazzie, Pebbles and Archie

From the moment we arrived we were overwhelmed by this beautiful place. The wonderful welcome pack was a very generous and thoughtful touch, everything and more than we could have wished for. The property was immaculate from top to bottom and our every possible need was catered for. A place to completely relax, we stopped the world and got off for a week. We didn’t have sunshine all day, but it didn’t matter. Diolch yn fawr iawn. Rydyn ni wedi cael amser da (Thank you very much. We had a good time.) We hope to return again!” – Rosie & Jim, Den & Viv and Jasper, July 2015

This was our second stay in this cottage and there will definitely be a third. It is by far the best cottage we have ever stayed in, having holidayed in many others. It is the best for the dogs, they have all that secure space to have fun in and for the humans there is everything you could possibly need to have a relaxing home-from-home holiday. The welcome pack as always is the best you will get. Our visit coincided with ‘The Heatwave’, which never happened up here but we did have some very warm days. Really going to miss the amazing views. Thank you Paul and Di. You are very lucky living in this wonderful area and we wish you all the best and good health.” – Elaine, Paul and Taz, Pegs, Ozzie and Smudge, July 2015

I have already provided positive feedback via the guest book available at the property. This is a superb 1st class holiday let, with welcoming hosts, highly recommended, and we hope to visit again :-)” – Feedback – Jul 2015

We have stayed in many self catering cottages in the last few years. We have come across some good ones, but I’m afraid you will have to accept that for the space for the dogs (in which I don’t need to worry about them wandering about) you definitely come top of the list. As for the cottage itself, again close, but I think you may have just made top again. We will be back in December to see this lovely view in winter. The Red Kites circling every day is a great sight to see. I think I managed to get a good photo of them.” – Alan and Debbie with Spike, Fly and Moomoo, June 2015

Five star cottage provided by Paul, Di and family. Blown away by the roomy paddock for our dogs. The view was to die for with every changing light and weather. The welcome pack gets you off to a great start for your holiday. Will not recommend to friends as we want to come back again and to not spoil it for previous guests.” – Dave, Heather and The Podencos, June 2015

WOW x FIVE! Super garden and views, best ever welcome baskets for us all. Cottage very well equipped with all we could need and more. Cannot think of more to adequately describe such a lovely holiday. Even the sun shone each day until we were going home. Will thoroughly recommend to all our friends. Thanks to Paul and Di from us all.” – Jill and Jacqi + Sanu, Jinny & Shona, June 2015

What a lovely place to spend a break away from all th hasle of daily life. Our first surprise was the amazing view followed quickly by the best welcome pack we have ever seen. I should say welcome packs as there was also one full of goodies for our three dogs-two flatcoated Retrieverw and a Golden Retriever. Paul and Diana had forgotten nothing when equiping the cottage. Everything we could possibly need was there. We had a really terrific week and hope to come again in the future.” – Feedback – Jun 2015

What a fabulous place for peace, quiet and solitude and views you would never tire of. The Welcome Pack was the best I’ve ever seen, even the dogs had theirs too. The cottage has everything you could need and Paul was a knowledgeable and friendly host. Would I recommend it? – You bet I would!” – Norma with Kit, Mya & Max – May/June 2015

The cottage had everything you could possibly want, welcome pack with goodies, very nice and a surprise (first place I have stayed that has done this). Enjoyed visit to Llanerchaeron with lovely walks around the grounds and visit to the house, walled garden and lakes. Despite not being very warm enjoyed visit to New Quay, saw dolphins on second visit. Enjoyed walks on different beaches with friends and the dogs, enjoyed Ynyslas very much. Managed trips on railway from Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge and visit to Red Kites. Spent final day back in Aberystwyth, walking on the prom/parade, saw children taking part in cycling before the start of ‘Tour of Britain’ race later in day. Packed lots in during the week. First time I have visited this part of Wales, enjoyed it very much. Would recommend to other people. Thank you for making holiday very enjoyable.” – Margaret, May 2015

We had a fabulous week in this gorgeous cottage. It was absolutely spotless! The welcome pack was amazing, one for us adults, one each for the girls and one for the dogs! It was most appreciated by us all! The views were amazing, it was just what we were looking for, a week of peace and tranquillity from our normal busy lives! Having three border collies, the garden was just wonderful for them and we even managed to tire them out! We’ll definitely be back next year! Thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful.

Emma, Marcus, Eleanor, Courtney and the dogs, Sherbet, Gracie and Edward! X” – Feedback – May 2015

Well what a wonderful cottage, everything you could want, so well equipped and what fantastic welcome baskets, both for us and the dogs. We have had some very nice days out, despite the weather being cold. We saw some dolphins at New Quay, went to the Red Kite centre and rode on The Vale of Rheidol Railway (fantastic views). Poppit Sands was great, but the beach at Ynyslas was better despite the jelly fish, which our puppy Baily found very interesting. Would recommend the Hungry Trout in New Quay for Sunday lunch. Thanks Paul and Di for such a lovely cottage!” – John and Jenny + Marlie, Alfie and Baily, May 2015

One of the best cottages we have stayed in great for
The dogd” – Feedback – May 2015

Just the most wonderful venue. Everything has been better than we have ever experienced before. From the first sight of the cottage, the welcome packs, and then the interior have been 1st class. Nothing has been left to chance and whatever the weather the view is unsurpassed. Quite a bonus seeing the Kites feeding naturally in the immediate area. Thanks to Paul, we have enjoyed some fantastic walks. Llanon to Aberaeron wasc great. The footpath and cycle way at Llanerchaeron were great – not that we cycled – we walked! Forest walk at Coed Ty’n-y-bedw (walks 19& 20 in walks around Aberysytwyth and Cwm Rheidol) although the white markers seemed to go rather off track! However met dog walker who told us about the beach at Ynyslas. Just wonderful and beats Poppit sands into a cocked hat! Further to travel but from Borth just keep going and you’ll end up on the most fantastic hard sands. Head over the dunes and there are miles of dog friendly beach. Just magic. Poppit Sands allow dogs in season, but to the right of the Lifeboat Station. We will be recommending this to friends. H & P xxx” – Helen and Peter with Ebony, Pax, Sage and Bethani, May 2015

If only Di and Paul could bottle up all they know about how to provide the perfect cottage and sell it to all those other cottages in the world…………..simply the best cottage ever. Thank you so much. P.S. Branna can’t wait to come back too, she loved it as much as us” – Neil and Alison, May 2015

We had the most fantastic holiday from the moment we drove in through the gates. Everything was as described and there was more than we expected. The cottage was perfect in every way and the amount of equipment, especially in the kitchen, was brilliant. The secure mown garden for the dogs was great. The welcome pack both for humans and dogs was superb and far outdid anything we have had before. The friendly owners were on hand if necessary but not at all intrusive. The views from the wonderful decking area were truly spectacular and to see the kites feeding naturally was a real treat. We will be recommending this cottage to friends and family whether then have dogs or not.” – Feedback – May 2015

Our third stay in less than a year – says it all really. Thank you once again for the most wonderful cottage in such a superb location. My second stay here in less than 6 months and coming again at Easter. Fabulous welcome pack (as ever) with a few Christmas “extras”, thank you Paul and Di! As one previous guest recommended, Poppit Sands is truly stunning; spent three hours there on Christmas day; it’s a bit difficult to find but once there – WOW! A walk in Tywi Forest just outside Tregaron is also recommended – no sheep for dogs to chase! As mentioned, back soon to this beautiful part of the world. Thank you again from one relaxed mum and three happy hounds! x ” – Tricia, Charlie, Oscar and Nahla, Christmas 2014

Thanks for a lovely stay and the marvellous food hamper and the dog treats, great! We came to be near friends living close by. It worked wonderfully. When we have seen your cottage the first time on your website we soon realised that this is a special place. But when we arrived at Rhydafallen we were deeply surprised how it really is! This is an utterly delightful spot in in which to spend a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing week. The presentation of the cottage is immaculate, the accommodation and facilities are truly 5* and this is all topped off by the amazing welcome basket. Paul and Di are warm and welcoming hosts and enjoying the stunning view whilst breakfasting and dining on the deck are memories we shall treasure. The weather was glorious throughout our stay but, if it had been otherwise, the variety of books and games would have kept us very happy. We were only able to visit a small number of the huge range of local attractions for which Paul and Di thoughtfully provided leaflets. We particularly enjoyed the Rheidol Valley Railway trip to Devil’s Bridge and going on a dolphin spotting trip from New Quay when we saw more than a dozen dolphins. A wonderful week. ” – Tony and Sarah, 21-28 June 2014

We had a great holiday in a wonderful location! The dogs loved being able to wander around the field and we were really comfortable in the cottage. The welcome pack was amazing and greatly appreciated (it would be useful to know there would be so many supplies – we needn’t bring so much!) The best walks we found were Llanerchaeron to Aberaeron, Teifi Pools and Borth Beach. The only thing that might have improved our holiday would have been to be able to walk straight from the cottage, but the exercise field really made up for that. Thank you for a warm welcome and information. We will recommend you to our friends with dogs and would love to come back sometime! Best wishes from us all.” – Linda & Ken with Holly & Dill, Sue & David with Willow & Toby. May 2014

WOW! Was our first impression on arrival. A lovely warm welcome from Paul and the welcome packs for us and the dogs were fabulous and a lovely surprise. You were very helpful on where to walk the dogs and gave us maps. Thanks, this was really appreciated. We visited the Black Lion in Lampeter for dinner – nice meal. Aberaeron is a lovely place to walk dogs if you bring them and only a 15 minute drive. We have really enjoyed our stay, cottage was beautiful and the views stunning, I never got tired of looking out of the window. We will certainly recommend your cottage. Our batteries are well and truly re-charged. Thanks again. ” – Paul, Evette and dogs Dillon and Jess, Nuneaton, 10 – 17 May 2014

Hope the weather improves. Very many thanks. ” – Val, Emlyn and dogs Charlie, Seamus & Seren – 25th Jan – 1st Feb 2014

The cottage: SO so comfortable and cosy, there were days of the wildest weather when we didn’t venture outdoors. The paddock: Great! Plus to have peace of mind knowing they (the hounds) were safe, I want one at home! The Environs: Fantastic views, and the loudest sound = silence! The welcome pack: Words fail me. What a treat for us and for the hounds. ” – Janice and Lowri, with the 3 Bassett Hounds, Jan 2014

This cottage is an absolute gem with the most amazing views stretching for miles and miles. There are red kites circling in the sky and nothing to listen to but stillness and silence.
The cottage is cosy and comfortable and “cottagey” yet full of modern conveniences.
It has a large paddock at the front which was a huge bonus as we took three Bassett Hounds and we could let them romp around outside knowing they were completely safe..
We weren’t able to enjoy the barbecue and the decked patio area because we went in January!!!! But I think we may well be back to try them out in warmer months…… The final word of praise has to be for a most generous welcome pack of local produce and” other goodies” and a basket of doggie treats for the hounds :-)))” – Feedback – Jan 2014

We all had a plan to spend the new year in an idyllic setting with good friends, starting 2014 relaxed and at peace. This small piece of heaven gave us that and much more. All finished to a such high standard. The views are amazing and it was great to be able to let the dogs out and know that they could not get into any bother! Thank you Paul for making us feel so welcome and the “Welcome Packs” – well what can I say. We are taking many happy memories with us and a few of your cards to give to our friends. We wish you all the best and hope to come back again. xx ” – Elaine, Paul, Bernice plus Taz & Peg woof woof , Sep 2013

Best stay ever. The welcome pack was wonderful. The owner couldnt do enough to make our stay more pleasant. Will definitely go back.” – Feedback – Sep 2013

This is without doubt the best property we have stayed in.
Everything in the property is finished to a very high standard which is unusual for a property that accepts dogs and makes them so welcome.
As well as that the views are breathtaking.
Your website does a good job of making it look good but you have to go to see for yourself just how ‘good’ it is.
We will be going back!!” – Feedback – Sep 2013

Thank you Paul for your warm welcome and fantastic welcome packs, which were very much appreciated. The cottage is the best we have stayed in, you have thought of everything. This is the first time the kitchen has been equipped with everything we needed! We have enjoyed body boarding at Llangrannog, watching red kite feeding at Bwlch Nant yr Arian, visiting the gold mines at Dolaucothi, crabbing in Aberaeron, seal spotting at Cardigan Island Farm Park, spotting dolphins at New Quay, Borth beach and nature reserve at Ynslas. The mountain road to Llyn Brianne has amazing views and Llanerchaeron, just down the road, is worth a visit (dogs not allowed in grounds here but everything else listed is dog friendly). We have had a great two weeks! ” – Rachael, Arran Emily and Jasper, Aug 2013

Great holiday, superb cottage, spotless, everything we needed. Many thanks for the welcome pack, which was much appreciated. Out every day, visited the Sculpture Heaven and the Animalarium, well worth visiting, we also saw dolphins out on the boat at New Quay. Thank you Paul for your lovely hospitality. ” – Sue and Oliver Daly, Cheshire, Aug2013

Thank you for the welcome packs. The cottage is lovely. This is by far the best accommodation we have stayed in. The dogs loved all the space to play. I will recommend you to my friends. This cottage is straight out of “Homes and Gardens” with everything needed to ensure the perfect holiday. The welcome pack, along with fruit and flowers, was outstanding, even providing a pack of dog biscuits for our faithful friend. Underfloor heating, reclining sofas, 6ft. Beds and TVs in every room make for a very comfortable stay indeed. It’s a truly wonderful haven with stunning views over the large securely fenced garden. Thank you Paul and Di, it does you credit. ” – Jill, John and Teddie, 22nd – 29th June 2013

Fantastic welcome pack, for people and dogs. Especially appreciated the black bomb, have purchased some to take home. Cottage equipped to a very high standard. Decking & views well placed to while away the hours with a good book. Visited Llyn Brianne with amazing windy roads through Cambrian Mountains, view of the dam lovely on a sunny day. Lampeter has a choice of eclectic quaint shops. So impressed, returning in October. Thanks Paul and Di” – Colin, Lesley , Candie and Goerdie, Cambs, 15 – 22 June 2013

Like everybody else we were much impressed by the welcome pack, the cottage, the view and we ARE coming back. Having hired many cottages over the years this is the first one with really good lighting. It was great in the kitchen and we could read easily in the lounge. Also hooks provided behind the doors – so often missing – great! ” – Ann and Don, High Wycombe, June 2013

Lovely, well equipped holiday home. Fab. reclining sofas – just what you need after a day walking. Barney loved the garden and the decking is a great spot in the sun – yes! We had sun! Cei Bach and the coastal path walk were my favourite and the harbour at Aberaeron was a great place to sit and “people watch”. Loved the bed, the bath and most of all the view, would definitely return. ” – Alison, Mark and Barney Dog, Manchester 25 – 31 May 2013

We have had the most relaxing week, with the loveliest view! Cottage is great, and so well equipped. The welcome pack we had on arrival was a lovely surprise and much appreciated! Our second visit and it won’t be our last. Thank you both for the superb welcome pack it really is something out of the ordinary. The weather has been changeable, but we still had a lovely week. Look forward to seeing you all next year. (Thanks again Paul and Di., hope you enjoy our little gift). ” – Bill, Sharon & dogs Trixie, Rosie & Oakley, Surrey, April 2013

Probably the best cottage we’ve ever stayed at. The location is wonderful and the views are stunning! Milly loved the garden and her welcome pack- almost as much as we enjoyed our welcome pack! The cottage was so cosy when the wind and rain were howling outside. We enjoyed so very much. Thank you. ” – Sue, Hugh and Milly, Cardiff, April 2013

We came from Bristol – no need to fly! – to your lovely cottage (owners Paul & Di). Our dogs Brecon, Reagon & Mac, enjoyed themselves munching through their own welcome pack. Your cottage a nice place to dwell and definitely equipped – oh so well! A great surprise our welcome pack, bacon, bread and cake, butter, jam -in fact – everything for a Welsh Bara Brith snack. The jars of sunshine – lovely to see. Thanks for the sunshine – just for me? We hope that we may come again, gladly you forgot the order order for rain. Thank you for being such nice hosts, when we get home we will raise a glass for a toast, to a couple who no longer roam and made their cottage in Wales a delightful home!! ” – Carole, Bernard, Gloria, John, Brecon, Raegon & Mac, March 2013

Lovely place very quiet with stunning views of the valley. Completely dog friendly with a great garden. First holiday in Wales without any rain, which was a bonus. Found some brilliant beaches at Penbryn and Llanon (thanks Paul!) and a must see is the Kite feeding. Thanks for a lovely week and welcome. Had a fabulous time!! ” – Ruth and Anne, Feb 2013

Beautiful place, so well equipped and done out like a show home! Loved the welcome baskets, the view (despite the rain!), the sofas, the surround sound and the Christmas tree! Thanks for such a fab time. x ” – Kerry Tara & Dogs Fozzchops & Humphrey, Christmas 2012

Had a fantastic relaxing time at this cottage. Thanks Paul! The dogs really settled and Ged had a good rest. The present you left him was great. The food hamper, treats, toiletries, well everything you could want. The cottage is spotless, warm and cosy; can’t wait to come again.” – Dawn, Gerald, Millzi and Jasper, Stoke-on-Trent, Nov 2012

What a super holiday cottage, one of our best finds for many years. We like it so much we will be booking for next year as soon as we can work out the dates. Must recommend Poppit Sands for dog walking (car park, cafe & toilets) also look round St Dogmaels while there. Aberglasney botanic gardens worth a visit. P.S. What a super welcome pack for us & our dogs.” – Bill, Sharon & dogs Trixie, Rosie & Oakley, Surrey, Nov 2012

We have had a fabulous week and for the first time ever I don’t want to go home. The cottage is 5 star. Welcome pack great, everything and more. We have had great walks with the dogs, they certainly don’t want to leave, and waking up to morning views like this, who could ask for more. We will be back and so will our friends with dogs. Thank you so much. Sue, Pete, Sky & Cassie. ” – Pete, Sue & dogs Sky & Cassie, Stafford, Nov 2012

““Wow” what a fantastic holiday house – high ceilings & big bed. Very well appointed, it’s got everything. Welcome pack the best I have ever seen – thank you. A visit to New Quay is a must – tea & cake at The Bosun’s Locker & trip out to see dolphins and seals. A brilliant half-term holiday had by us all. And treats for our dog as well. Paul, you deserve to do well. ” – Chris, Caroline, Oscar & Grace Sansom, Shropshire, Oct 2012

A lovely cottage, a haven of peace and tranquillity. Thank you so much for the brilliant welcome pack, fruit and flowers, and of course some treats for Izzy. The cottage is very comfortable, really warm and cosy. The views over the valley are truly stunning. We will certainly recommend it to our friends.” – David & Jean Lloyd and Izzy, Oct 2012

We have stayed in many holiday cottages, but this one is by far the best!! Paul & Diana have given much thought for your every need. The coastal walk from Llanon (recommended by Paul) is lovely – the dogs loved it! New Quay is a super little place with a sandy beach, the Bosun’s Locker is a must for coffee and cake. We will look forward to our next stay here.” – Karen & Paul, dogs Shiloh & Dante, Berrow Somerset. 22/9/12

Great week, great cottage with all we wanted provided. The welcome pack was exceptional, with even a goody bag for our dog, Lucy. The best beach we found was 20 miles south, Llangrannog, a beautiful sheltered cove with a hamlet of pretty houses, cafes and a shop. Although there was a dog ban May – Sept. there were lots of dogs having a great time, including Lucy. Persevere with the car down the narrow lanes, it’s worth it and the beach hut serves great coffee and sarnies.” – John, Wendy & Lucy Collinson, Halifax, Sep 2012

This is the best cottage we have ever been to . The welcome pack is outstanding! The recliners were a real treat and fantastic TV’s in all the rooms. Underfloor heating great – although the cottage is so well insulated we never needed to turn it up very high. We have had fantastic weather here and have enjoyed hikes in the Cambrian Mountains and more relaxing walks along the beaches. The decking was lovely in the evenings and the views from the cottage just the best ever! The dogs have had a wonderful time running around the huge lawn. We have loved it here and will recommend it to friends. ” – Steve & Anneliese Loveluck. Dogs, Harvey, Milo & Misty, Sep 2012

We had a fabulous week here in this beautiful corner of West Wales. The accommodation was first class and the views over the Aeron Valley, breathtaking. We’ve loved the beaches and coastal walks as recommended by Paul. Our favourite part of the week – a 1 hour motorised dingy trip from Gwbert to see seals and marine life. Fantastic!! Thank you for the lovely welcome pack, not only for us but also for our pet dog – really appreciated” – The Abraham family, 18 August 2012

This place was a miraculous find for me, at no notice. It took care of all my needs for light, warmth and comfort. And above all, for beauty, peace and quiet – with a lovely relaxed, easy going atmosphere. I hope to come again. Many thanks Paul and Di for welcoming me at such short notice. Five star rating for this accommodation!” – Mrs Smithson, Aug 2012
